About the work
Su Lionzu, the headpiece that frames the gazes of Orgosolo's women, seems shaped by the wind, echoing the lines of mountains and valleys surrounding the town.
I love the contrast between the sculpted silk and the softness of the face, between the ridges of the folds and the depth of the eyes, between the life of tradition and the soul of the people.

It seems that every silk thread tells stories lost in time, of generations with strong character who walked the same paths we walk today, proudly passing down these costumes as a profound act of belonging to this land.

We are custodians of an invaluable heritage.

This work is inspired by a photograph by Andrea Cogoni.
