Sacred and mysterious plant, artemisia evokes the charm of ancient legends and forgotten sacred rites.

I like this subtle and delicate connection between these two elements. On one hand, the Sardinian dresses, rich in details and meanings, passed down from generation to generation; on the other, a flower that rhythmically returns to bloom, bringing with it the scent of the past and the strength of the present.

Both, resilient and precious, are deeply rooted in our cultural identity, symbolizing an indissoluble bond with our roots.

This small-sized work is my second painting inspired by the traditional Sardinian dresses named after a typical plant of our island: artemisia.
